《戏炬奖简介》
‘戏炬奖’由凭舞台咨询与服务于2001年设立，藉此给予本地中文戏剧工作者表扬及鼓励。2007年正式授权予隆雪戏剧互动空间主办“戏炬奖颁奖典礼”。
‘戏炬奖’是大马中文戏剧唯一纯舞台戏剧的颁奖礼，也是本地中文戏剧界的一大盛事，让来自全国各地的剧团，戏剧工作者，剧迷和各界人士一起参与其盛，给予肯定及见证舞台戏剧艺术水平的提升。
历届戏炬奖都得到很高的评价，不但吸引电视和平面媒体的相争报道，各界名人、电视艺人、电台DJ、电视主持等也应邀参与其盛。此外，戏炬奖也得到多位部长的支持与祝贺，包括前文化艺术及文物部副部长拿督胡亚桥、前青年及体育部副部长拿督翁诗杰，及现任文化部副部长拿督黄锦鸿。
迈入第六届，制作单位更不敢掉以轻心，将竭尽所能把颁奖典礼办的尽善尽美。让这个唯一的中文舞台戏剧颁奖礼发光发热，成为戏剧界重要的火炬传承和城中的佳话。
《戏炬奖意义》
凭舞台谘询与服务，是一个推动本地中文剧运的非盈利机构，集合了本地杰出、资深的剧场界元老级人马一齐开垦、播种。于2001年设立‘凭舞台戏剧奖 ’，藉此给予本地中文戏剧工作者一个肯定及鼓励。2004年‘凭舞台戏剧奖 ’正名为‘戏炬奖‘。
宗旨：
A。表扬剧场工作者不拘名利的奉献。
B。鼓励和认同个人或团体对剧场无私付出。
C。汇集戏剧界，共同推展戏剧的可塑性。
D。成为年度的颁奖活动，参与范围逐渐开放于大马剧团。
E。展现戏剧精神。
戏炬奖名称：
‘戏炬’取自‘戏剧’的谐音。
‘炬’为火炬，代表热情燃烧的火把，烈火不熄。火炬更有‘传承’的意义，意味着民间戏剧艺术薪火相传。
另，‘炬’谐音‘具’，取‘面具’的意思。面具古时称面谱，而面谱一直以来都是象征着‘戏’的图腾。
因此，‘戏炬’有着‘戏剧’，‘火炬’，‘面具’的三种诠释。
戏炬奖奖杯：
奖杯的整体设计取自‘火’的造型，而火中有面谱的图案，是‘火炬’与‘面谱’的结合，象征着戏剧艺术燃烧成一把熊熊烈火，生生不息。
火炬是一个耀眼的焦点，‘戏炬奖’是剧场界年度努力的目标。
7TH ADA DRAMA AWARD 2007
INTRODUCTION
The annual Ada Drama Award was launched in 2001. It is a non-profit ceremony to recognize the contribution of artists in drama art of the performing arts to raise the profile of the drama art and judge ‘live’in the Chinese theatre community, Malaysia.
Ada Drama Award, played it’s role to gather all theatre activists and provide a formal and healthy drama activity, which is one of the important element in nation’s culture.
Ada Drama Award formerly name“Ping Stage Drama Award” founded by Mr. Goh You Ping and his members of Ping Stage Consult and Service in the year 2000. “ADA” is a malay word mean “GET” or “HAVE”. We GET all talented people from different industries especially in performing art to involve. And we HAVE interesting stories to tell to public through performing art.
“We GET & HAVE a wish”.
Through the award ceremony will bring happiness with flaming and glowing brightly to show the right direction in drama art.
6th Ada Drama Award 2006 is now presented by Persatuan Angkatan Seni Lakon Interaksi Kuala Lumpur Dan Selangor (ASLI), Honourable sponsored by Yayasan CNI since year 2003 will continue until 2008. Venue supported by Kuala Lumpur Performing Art Center (KLPAC).
Ada Drama Award wish to get and have more support from honourable individual and corporate in national and internationally.
OBJECTIVE
A. To encourage, inspire & reward a broader diversity of performing art in local creative productions with the intent of nurturing their talent.
B. Created to support the development of local performing art in drama.
C. To increase the exposure of dramatic art and artiste.
D. Praise the regard and contribution to our local artistes in drama.
E. The awards provide a platform for up-and-coming production team and artistes to produce and plays at national and international levels while allowing an exchange of creativity, ideas interaction.
